‘Half Moon’ book cover
I was contacted by Winterbourne Publishing to design a book cover and bookmark for the epic fantasy novel ‘Half Moon’.
The brief:
The subject of this novel is a quest of the Half Moon tribe to overcome evil, and the publisher was concerned that the title could inaccurately infer a vampire subject matter. So the brief was to avoid artwork similar to the ‘Twilight’ series or other vampire books. I focused on the image of the spear, which played a key role in the story. The author suggested that a half moon image during the day would be appropriate, as it was not a dark story.
