Backstage Pass skateboard deck
This skateboard deck was designed in secret as a birthday present for my brother. The design features many of his favourite things, such as his guitar and drumsticks, Minties, and Coverse kicks.
His surname is Pass and, being a musician, he quickly got the nickname 'Backstage Pass' so I included that with his birth year on the scroll.
I'd begun the design in 2008 intending to give it to him on his 25th birthday, however it took a little longer than I'd thought to complete it (taking a back seat to other deadlines) and I finally had the deck printed and presented it to him on his 27th birthday.
He was stoked. If only he was a skater.
